A Cake Smash session is a fun, memorable way to celebrate your little one turning ONE! These sessions are full of laughter, mess, and personality — and can be customised to a colour scheme or theme of your choice.

What’s Included:

🎂 Cake Smash Portraits
We begin with some clean, adorable portraits of your baby in the themed setup, using props and decorations to match your chosen style. If you'd like, we can also capture a family portrait at this stage.

🍰 Let the Smash Begin!
Next, we bring in the cake! Your little one gets to explore, play, and enjoy their cake — often with some hilarious, messy results. Please bring a cake of your choice that suits your baby's dietary needs and your theme.

🛁 Splash Time!
After all the cake fun, it’s time to clean up with a splash! The bubble bath setup includes a small tub, lots of bubbles, rubber ducks, and our bubble machine — making it an absolute hit with little ones!

Customisable to Suit Your Baby

Not every baby loves bath time — and that’s ok! We can adapt the session with:

Rubber duck portraits (no bath needed)
A cosy duck dressing gown setup
Additional clean portraits or family images instead of the bath splash

Celebrate your baby’s first birthday with a fun, personalised photo session! A £10 deposit is required to secure your session date, which will be deducted from your total package cost. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session.

What’s Included:

A customised 1-hour photo session
A complete cake smash setup, including props and optional balloon arch (cake not included)
Bath splash setup – choose to use the same backdrop or a playful rubber duck setup
A private, password-protected online gallery to view all professionally edited images
10 high-resolution digital image downloads of your choice

After Your Session

Within 2 weeks, you'll receive an email inviting you to view your private gallery. From there, you can:

Select your 10 included digital images
Download your chosen files
Optionally purchase additional digital images or photo products

If you’d like more than the 10 images included in your package, you’re welcome to purchase extra digital files:

There’s no obligation to purchase extras — simply choose the images you truly love.

Cake Smash:

Balloon arch (half or full, depending on your preference)

❓What do I need to bring?

For Cake Smash:

Your chosen cake
Your child's outfit
Any additional props you’d like to include (e.g., personalised bunting)

For Bath Splash:

Bubble bath (baby-friendly)
A towel for drying off afterwards
Your child’s water bottle – helpful after all that cake!

For Portraits/Family Portraits:

A clean outfit for your child to change into before or after the smash

❓Do you provide the cake?

No – cakes are not included in the session price. Every child has unique dietary needs, style preferences, and themes, so it's best for you to work directly with a cake maker to ensure the right fit.

I highly recommend Shiromi from Bakes by Bandy – she creates stunning cakes and can even deliver directly to the studio for your session!

Soft enough to smash
Around 6" to 8" in size

❓When should I book the cake smash?

I recommend booking at least 3 months in advance to secure your ideal date and time — especially for weekend sessions or peak months like October to December.

Last-minute sessions may be available depending on availability. A £10 deposit is required to secure your date, with the remaining balance due on the day.
